Drive Free For a Week in the 2016 Mazda CX-3: Adventure 2

Mazda of Manchester is hooking up three lucky drivers with an all-new 2016 Mazda CX-3 for an entire week, along with a full tank of gas for a few surprise adventures, free of charge. We’ve asked these drivers to share their stories and adventures with the rest of us. Read on to see just how thrilling life in a CX-3 can be.

#MazdaWeekAdventure: Don’t Forget the Broccoli

I used to keep a lot of lists. To-do lists. Shopping lists. Priority lists. Goal lists. Things-that-made-me-happy lists.

But the busier I got, it got harder to take the time to make those lists. Making the list of what I wanted to do or accomplish became a to-do item in itself, and always wound up below “don’t forget the broccoli.”

But this week, I’ve been able to do and document all the things I do — and more importantly all the things I love to do — without really needing to make a list. Going on this#MazdaWeekAdventure has forced me to appreciate and document all the little moments in my life that make me happy like iced green tea from #Starbucks, #hiking, going to #yoga, getting my nails done, killing myself at #Crossfit, juice cleansing, perfectly matching my outfits to my nails, and just enjoying time with the people I love most.

And right around the holidays, it’s been such a sweet moment of reflection. I’ve taken pictures of things I normally wouldn’t, took time off from work that I wouldn’t have, and noticed all the little things in life that make me happy day-to-day. And most importantly, I’ve stepped outside my typical routine to enjoy these abnormally warm days.

Today, I took the Mazda CX-3 to Case Mountain in Manchester. And boy, I didn’t realize that Manchester, CT could render such beauty. Did you know you can see the city of Hartford from it’s peak? My iPhone camera doesn’t even give it justice.

You can see the city of Hartford from the top of Case Mountain!

I took Scout along for the hike, he had a blast! It’s 4pm, and he’s still tired. A two-hour hike will do that to you.

Case Mountain, CT

As you can see, Scout was already zonked before we got to the car. Talk about sleepy eyes!

I’m looking forward to enjoying my last few days in the Mazda CX-3. I’ve already put more than 300 miles on the care in just a few days — and I still have two more Mazda-sponsored adventures to go on, including chowing down on cheeseburgers and John Dailys Plan B and indoor rock climbing.

Rumor has it, I’m doing some Christmas shopping tomorrow and running in and ugly sweater 5k on Friday — let’s see how many shopping bags and friends I can pack in the CX-3. (Safely, of course.)

And of course, this #mantraband was the perfect prop for today’s adventures.
